Kindergarten and first grade is a great time to teach economics to young learners. The students will be introduced to economic skills such as scarcity, choices, goods , services, needs and wants, and consumers and producers. They will explore these concepts through children’s literature, songs, dramatic play, and games.
Economics is an important social studies concept for students because it gives them a foundation for understanding money, spending, and saving. Students will...1.
