Are your kids looking for something fun to do this summer? Are you a fan of Star Wars? You don't want to miss out on this class! Each day your kiddo will bake a new Star Wars treat! They'll learn how to read a recipe, follow the recipe directions, prepare the ingredients and then bake it! Don't miss out on this fun class! Here is what we have on our schedule: Day #1-Sith Cookies ~Welcome to the dark side! Day #2-Star Wars Light Saber ~These Star Wars Lightsaber pretzel rods are easy and...
Day #1-Sith Cookies Ingredients: 3 cups of flour 1 cup + 1 tablespoon unsweetened dark cocoa powder, divided 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 teaspoon salt 3/4 cup stick butter, room temp 1 1/3 cup sugar 3 eggs 1 tablespoon milk 1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 teaspoons lemon juice 1 bottle red food coloring Helpful Tools: Hand or Stand Mixer Mixing Bowl Baking Sheet Non stick spray or parchment paper Spatula _________________________________________ Day #2-Star Wars Light Saber Ingredients: Pretzel rods White candy melts Green candy melts Blue candy melts Red candy melts Black candy melts Mini M&M candies Assorted star sprinkles, if desired Helpful Tools: Microwave Safe Bowls Spoons Wax or Parchment Paper piping bag _______________________________________ Day #3-No Bake Wookie Cookies Ingredients: 1/2 C butter, stick 2 C granulated sugar 1/2 C whole milk 4 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder Pinch of salt 1/2 C peanut butter 2 tsp vanilla 3 C quick-cooking oats - important 1 C sweetened coconut Helpful Tools: Sauce Pan (stove will be used) Mixing Spoon Pan w/ parchment paper Ice cream or cookie scoop ____________________________________ Day #4-Death Star Pizzas Ingredients: Pillsbury Pizza Crust (in a tube) Pizza sauce Cheese slices pepperoni Helpful Tools: Baking Sheet Non stick or parchment paper spoon or spatula circle cookie cutter or something that can cut a circle (stop of cup, bowl) *you pick your size personal pizzas
2 hours 40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
You know your child so please be available close by if they need help. Some recipes may use the stove, oven or microwave. Recipes will be prepared during class and may need to be baked after class. Alert: possible allergens such as nuts, wheat/flour, dairy, eggs, or soy.
