Kids Can Cook Too: A Twist on Classic Cookies - Session 1 (1 Week Class)

In this one week class, we are baking cookies, but with a twist! Each day we will rotate flavors of cookies such as chocolate chip to cookies and cream to name a few.

Class Experience

Day #1 - Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies
*Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups butter softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla
4 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 cups Guittard milk chocolate chips
*Helpful Tools:
Hand or Stand Mixer
Mixing Bowls/Spoons
Baking Sheet
Non-stick spray
Cookie Scoop

Day #2 - Pink Velvet Cookies
*Ingredients
1 1/2 cups salted butter softened
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 tsp cake batter flavoring
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3 tsp baking powder
pink food coloring (gel works better)
*Icing (prepared in class, decorate after class)
8 oz cream cheese room temperature
1/4 cup butter softened
2 tsp vanilla extract
4 cups powdered sugar
milk to thin, if needed'
Freezer Ziploc Bag to pipe on cookies

Day #3 - Cookies & Cream Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup salted butter
1 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
12 Oreos chopped
*Icing:
1/2 cup salted butter softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1-3 tbsp heavy cream or milk
8 Oreos chopped
12 mini Oreos
Freezer Ziploc Bag to pipe on cookies

Day #4 - Red Velvet White Chocolate Chip
*Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup butter softened
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 1/2 cup brown sugar
2 egg
1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup cocoa powder
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
red food coloring, gel
2 cups white chocolate chips
*Helpful Tools:
Hand or Stand Mixer
Mixing Bowls/Spoons
Baking Sheet
Non-stick spray
Cookie Scoop
3 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
You know your child so please be available close by if they need help. Recipes will be prepared during class, but they will need to be baked after class. We will prepare the icing while the cookies are baking therefore cookies will need to be completed after they are cooled.
