This is a fun and interactive introduction to the music staff and how it relates to the piano keyboard. Students may use a traditional piano or an electric keyboard. It is a follow-up to "My First Piano Lesson." Learners will practice drawing the treble clef and bass clef, find "middle C" on the piano, and learn to name the notes on the treble staff. We will also play the songs learned in "My First Piano Lesson" by reading them on the music staff! I use a lot of visual aids, imagination, and games in my lessons. This lesson is designed to get your child excited about reading music and playing the piano!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! I'm Ms. Troeh (it rhymes with "grow") and I love teaching kids! I have taught music for over 30 years at schools in the US, Greece, and Taiwan. I have a Master's degree in Music and am a certified teacher. I play piano, harp, recorder, guitar and ukulele.
Besides teaching, I write songs, perform as a musician and actor, work freelance as a graphic artist, and make crowns and Renaissance jewelry, I've even made crowns for the TV shows "Reign" and "The Spanish Princess."
I love reading, drawing, juggling, and cuddling with my 3 cats.
