Description
Class Experience
Get ready to get your groove on in this piano class all about beat and rhythm! Campers will learn the three musical notes: quarter, half, and whole, as well as one rest(quarter rest). Our class will start with a Hello song and a finger warm up. Then, we will review our notes we have learned(on days 2, 3, and 4). Following, we will learn our new note of the day. Each day, we will play games, sing songs from the Kiddykeys curriculum(permission granted to use), play games, read books from...
Students will learn: 1. How to keep a steady beat 2. How to read quarter, half, and whole notes 3. What rests are 4. How to create their own rhythms
*Something to hit together(drumsticks, spoons, etc) *Something to shake(maracas, shakers, etc)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and no time outside of class.
