Description
Class Experience
If your little pianists has mastered their notes on the piano and are ready to start really reading notes on the staff, this class is for them! Each day, we will focus on a part of the treble or bass staff as well as learn a simple song to go with our musical reading. Class will start with a Hello song and a finger warm up. Then, we will review either what we have learned outside of class or what we learned from the previous class. Following, we will learn one of the musical staff...
Students will learn 9 notes on the staff as well as learn what treble and bass clef are. They will be able to play four songs while reading the staff by the end of camp.
Learners are encouraged to practice between class sessions.
Students will need a piano OR keyboard OR piano you can play on a tablet. A kid toy piano is fine as long as it has both white and black keys.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
