This course is for students ages 11-14 looking to meet weekly to talk about goals for each week. We will talk about what goals are, how to achieve them, and how to keep track of their progress when striving to fullfill them. Students will talk about their goals and what they hope to accomplish during the week. Each week we will reflect on previous goals, what can be improved, and what was accomplished. Students will learn how to make a goal, work towards achieving it, and reflect on their progress.
In previous work I have taught a class called "Skills to Pay the Bills." A portion of this class taught students how to set goals and achieve them with activities such as "where does the time go?", which mapped out how students time was spent weekly. This will be helpful during our class as students will map out skills needed to achieve their weekly goals. I have experience as a college tutor and have helped students at the college level with English writing skills. I am currently a substitute teacher for grades PreK-12. I have tutored thousands of online ESL classes for over 5 years.
