Welcome to the class for cute annimals and art lovers! In this exciting One-time class we will draw a few adorable bunnies in an epic kawaii like style! All skill levels welcome we will focus on creativity expression! :) Mrs. R’s Sweet Bunnies class will start with friendly introductions. I will demonstrate how to draw live with a document camera so students can see the drawings up close. We will begin with simple shapes then build on the basics in a fun step-by-step process. Most students prefer to focus on the drawing skills and complete coloring after class time, so this is where we will focus our attention. Each student works at their own pace there is no rush to finish their masterpieces in class. During class students are encouraged to share their artwork but it is necessary. I momentarily mute for background noise because we want to ensure learners hear all the lesson. When instructions are done leaners will also be able to chat more. I will constantly check in with enthusiastic encouragement and ask if students would like to share their work. Students will interact with and inspire one another by showing their artwork, if they choose to do so. This around this is going to be a great class. Can’t wait to see you soon!

Supply List
Students should bring paper for their masterpieces, a pencil with an eraser and anything to add color with such as colored pencils, markers and crayons. An eager attitude and a Big Imagination!

😊Hi, welcome art friends! I am Mrs. Roxy ( Rosanna V. Phillips) I am an artist, private art instructor, and long-time Homeschool Teacher. I am a 5-star rated Outschool Educator who has taught over several thousand learners since joining Outschool in 2020. I strive to provide a positive, encouraging, and empowering environment where my art friends can learn to unlock their secret creative potential! I am a Homeschool mom of three amazing kids ( plus a fur mom to many persnickety pets; including adorable pound puppies and three rescue fuzz ball cats!)
I love studying art at museums. Some of my favorite museums include; the Louvre, the world's largest art museum in Paris, France, and is best known for being the home of the Mona Lisa. A close tie for second place is the Ningxia Museum in China. And finally, near and dear to my heart is the famous Getty Museum, in Southern California where I currently reside with with my husband, three cute kids, and all our crazy fluffy fur babies that we rescued, so far.
As a full-time dedicated professional artist and art educator here on Outschool, I am passionate about offering my unique perspectives to guide young art friends to discover their creative journey. I am highly experienced in the areas of illustration, anime, hyperrealism, and design. I use this unique background to inspire my art friends to add highly creative twists that create awe-inspiring larger-than-life art pieces!
My areas of expertise that I love to focus on are Cultivating Creativity/Resourcefulness, Thinking like an Artist, and Divergent thinking, or “thinking outside the box”. According to recent studies, the creative process of making art sharpens problem-solving and critical thinking skills, the ability to focus, and much more. Studies also show people who make any type of art including sketching are less stressed, anxious, and depressed. Researchers liken creating art to exercise for the brain, similar to how physical exercise aids the body, creating art helps to keep the mind sharp! In other words, Art makes us happy, smart, and great problem solvers!
I am so excited to teach creative expression through various forms of art and to connect learners through exciting sociable art clubs.
