Description
Class Experience
Through the guided drawing process, students will learn how to use simple lines and shapes to create treats in Kawaii style. We will explore the origin of Kawaii style, and discuss ways to adapt it to a variety of animals. My teaching style involves breaking the process down into smaller, easy-to-follow steps. I pace the class according to the needs of the students; if needed, I give fast finishers a break, allowing students who need more time to complete their work, the time to do so, and...
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
Students will need: Paper (drawing paper is great; sketchbook, or even printer paper will work! Pencil, eraser, pencil sharpener Black Sharpie Choice of coloring tools: colored pencils, crayons, watercolor pencils, or markers.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
