Would you rather draw a Kawaii-style picture or play a game? In this class, you can do both. The Kawaii Art Club is a fun and engaging class designed for children between the ages of 7 and 11, where they can learn about drawing Kawaii style pictures, explore their creativity through coloring, and enjoy socializing with their peers. The class aims to provide a nurturing and inclusive environment where children can develop their artistic skills, express themselves, and make new friends. In this ongoing class, we will learn to draw and color various seasonal items, animals and sweet treats in the style of Kawaii. The topics to be covered will include features of Kawaii style drawing and using line to create drawings. The members of the group will learn about different elements, such as big eyes, rounded shapes, and vibrant colors, that define Kawaii art as well as other drawing and coloring techniques commonly found in Kawaii-style art. Each week's class will be a stand-alone class. While there will be a demonstration, creativity is encouraged. Get your reactions and questions ready in case a game of Would You Rather breaks out. The class will be structured in the following format: Greetings Demonstration Coloring and socialization Virtual Art Gallery I will teach using a step-by-step demonstration, however, the students will be encouraged to add their own personal touches to their drawings. The learners will interact with each other and with me throughout the lesson. They will be encouraged to ask questions of all of the members of this class.
