Class Experience
- Each week we will look at different sections of the book. After a brief discussion learners create their own imaginative pieces of written work, with a different focus each week. - We begin by reading sections of the book, and then we will discuss the focus for that week. Every leaner gets the opportunity to read the text, and to comment on the it, generating ideas for their written work, whilst I guide and assist every learner individually. Learners will learn about: - Characters, including protagonists and antagonists - Plots and sub-plots - Writing techniques, such as the use of sensory imagery
I am a fully qualified teacher English and drama teacher, with over 20 years of teaching experience.
I may ask learners to read sections of the book between classes, though I will provide those sections.
Writing materials.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
If you require a progress report then please contact me, and I will be happy to provide one.
