- These creative reading and writing sessions will enable learners to create imaginative stories. - Each lesson we will look at a piece of children's literature, and talk about words/sentences used. This will be followed by an individual topic each session, where learners create their own imaginative writing. - We begin with a warm up, then go straight into a piece of children's text. Every learner will have the opportunity to comment on the text, generating ideas for their written work. ...
Lined paper/exercise books, pencils/pens, plain paper and colouring pencils required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
- The books explored are aimed for learners aged 8 to 12. - Learners are required to participate by creating their own ideas, either by drawing pictures, and/or writing descriptions. - Learners are also required to share their work, either verbally during the class, or by sending their work to me on Outschool. - Learners need to switch their cameras on at the beginning of the class, for me to take the register.
