What's included

1 hrs 30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
In this 3 day camp, learners will Create, Design, and Describe their own kaiju monster! Day 1: Create your own kaiju. Think of what you want your kaiju to be! What are its powers? What does it look like? What is its character like? We will brainstorm, sketch, share ideas, and develop our unique creations using a printable graphic organizer available in the classroom. Day 2: Design your kaiju. Use drawing materials, clay, legos, or whatever else you'd like to show what your kaiju looks like! We will work on depicting our kaiju with as many details as possible, so that we can tell its story through our artwork. Day 3: Describe your kaiju. Using your own words, write about your kaiju! What does it do? Where did it originate? Why is it here? Using a printable template available in the classroom, learners can finish the sentence prompts to describe their kaiju (I am here to assist early writers or they can dictate to me :). Also on Day 3: Each students will also have time to share their artwork and either read their writing or tell us about their kaiju creation. I can't wait to see the awesome kaiju you come up with!

Hello! My name is Rebecca and I LOVE teaching! I have a B.S. in Education and an M.S. in Reading Education. I love creating and adapting my own curricula to make learning engaging and fun for the virtual learner and believe that providing interactive, organized, and thoughtful instruction in a supportive environment can pave the way for even the most hesitant student. It is my philosophy that learning happens in many ways, so, naturally, teaching should, too! My classes incorporate a variety of teaching tools to provide for different learning styles.
