Class Experience
Students will understand the connection between President Roosevelt and The Teddy Bear. Students will know that President Roosevelt is responsible for the Creation of The United States National Park Service. Students will improve their public speaking skills.
Students should bring their favorite stuffed toy to class and be prepared to say a sentence or two about their toy.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
President Theodore Roosevelt was a hunter. We will not be discussing the ethics or morals about hunting. Questions about hunting will be redirected to the fact that Roosevelt chose not to shoot the bear resulting in the creation of the Teddy Bear.
