Class Experience

Should we ask questions or throw a tantrum? Make a mess or clean up? Ignore or listen? We will talk about 10 ideas of how to be kind that will correspond with each letter A-J with an extra special emphasis on the word "Kindness" at the end! We will be making an emotion flip puppet to help demonstrate how being kind can help us and others feel happiness. On our activity sheet, we will pause to take the time to write our names and practice writing uppercase and lowercase "Kk". Learners will have a chance to share their ideas and stories about how they can be or have been kind! I look forward to spending this special character education time with your learner!

Teaching Philosophy: I enjoy encouraging learners to be involved and engaged through a computer screen with hands-on activities, sharing, getting to know each other, and discussing topics of interest to the learners. I always work to inspire learners to continue their learning after class and to look forward to their next class.

Something Fun About Me:
I love camping, traveling, and the great outdoors. I have been to 41 of the 50 states and visited 37 of our inspiring national parks with a goal to visit all 63 of them someday. My 4 children, ages 9, 7, 4 and a baby, have accompanied my husband and I on many of our adventures. My oldest has Down syndrome, and she brings great joy and purpose to my life in raising awareness and teaching others about Down syndrome, diversity, and differences. I love my chocolate goldendoodle dog, my saltwater fish tank, and fuzzy sea otters!
