K-2 Homeschool Homeroom: Calendar Meeting with Show & Tell, Sharing & Skill Practice
Come make friends with other kindergarten, first and second graders in this fun homeroom especially for homeschoolers. We will have a themed show and tell, a calendar meeting, riddles, jokes, chit-chat and fun skill based games/ activities.

Description
Class Experience
Come join other kindergarten, first and second grade students for a fun homeroom class that includes show and tell, time for sharing, a calendar meeting and work on fun skills, play educational games, and occasional projects. Here's a look at our class routine: 1. Welcome & Show and Tell/ Sharing Time with a Theme (about 3- 5 minutes). Everyone will be "spotlighted" on the big screen as they share. 2. Joke of the Day 3. Learners will: -- connect with other homeschoolers -- enjoy a calendar meeting routine -- practice important broad skills in K-2 curriculum independently or with as much support as needed.
Optional Extras: --Each month, I send a cover for the calendar meeting and an extra "special days" set of pages so that those who want to keep track of holidays, birthdays, and etc. can use at school between meetings if you like. You can make a packet to use at home.
Here's what you can bring (optional!): -- Show and Tell Item-- Be sure to check the theme each week in the classroom announcements. -- Calendar & Calendar Meeting Activity Page (or blank paper!) -- Markers, Crayons, Colored Pencils or Pens -- Sometimes, I provide an optional printable to help you follow along with the skill review activity in each lesson.
35 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents may quietly assist off camera as needed. Learners will be un-muted most of the time for sharing and participation. Please ensure that your child learns how to mute and un-mute as needed if taking the class from an area with possible background noise. Learners are required to be kind and polite to everyone in the class.
