US Grade Kindergarten - 2
Beginner Level
This club will meet once on a week on Mondays for 7 weeks. Each week we will make a new work of art connected to an Element of Art. My presentation time is around 8 minutes, which allows the majority of the 50 minute time available to support students in making their art. The projects we will be doing are: September 9: Architecture September 16: Painting September 23: Draw and Color September 30: Cut and Paste October 7: Sculpt October 14: Weave October 21: Puppet I look forward to supporting and interacting with students through their preferred means of communication - whether that’s by video, audio or chat. A list of supplies and a schedule of lessons will be given to each family upon signing up. I love the quote from Aristotle, “Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.” That is why my classroom motto is, “It is a gift to make mistakes everyday. Everyday! Everyday.” When we are kind to ourselves our mistakes become sources of inspiration and an opening to a gateway of learning that no teacher, like myself, could ever teach. Also, I believe this reinforces the importance of student choice and student voice. When students are valued students are more likely to create work of value. And we (the home support, the teachers and students) all want work of value to be the outcome of this class and all educational opportunities. We are all in this together :) C’mon let’s go! Sign up now.
