US Grade Kindergarten - 3
Learners will be learning in a lecture-style class format where they will be given the basic foundations of writing a short paragraph. Each session will build upon what was covered in the previous session. In the first session, the learners will brainstorm to create their introduction paragraph, in the second session the learners will write the body of their short paragraph, in the third session students will write the endings of their paragraphs. In the final session, learners will share and discuss what they have written. The learners will be able to interact with their peers in the session to generate ideas for writing. The learners will demonstrate basic writing skills to express their thoughts through writing. The learners should have a basic understanding of what belongs in a sentence such as every sentence has a noun, capital letter at the beginning, and a punctuation mark at the end. This is a student-led course in which they will be given teacher support throughout the process of creating their written paragraphs.
Learning Goals
The goal is the learners will be able to effectively demonstrate written skills through a short paragraph from start to finish.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have worked with students in the Florida Public School System for over 20 years. I have taught in all the core subject areas in elementary education. My experience ranges from remedial to gifted. Two years ago, I began tutoring online and focused on my passion. My online teaching experience has provided me an opportunity to find alternative ways to communicate and teach students effectively.
My classroom focuses on the individual student, and their success is of my utmost importance. With such an extensive teaching background, I have learned strategies to make material adaptive when needed through presentation methods and delivery of material. I work to maintain a line of open communication with parents so that all students may succeed.
I am always learning and bettering myself. I enjoy swimming, reading, cooking, baking, taking photos, trying new foods, and traveling to new places.
