Students will write various types of products (such as poetry, personal essays, short stories, etc.) Students will critique and revise writing in a workshop setting. Students will learn how to use language to express complex concepts. Students will use literary devices (such as metaphor, analogy, personification, etc.) Students will generate ideas for writing assignments through various means (brainstorming, journaling, mind-mapping, etc.)
