Class Experience

Homework will be assigned each week based on the investigation skills we are discussing and posted to Outschool. 
All the activities are optional: Week 1: a notebook (to be used throughout the 6 weeks) and a printer. Materials to set up a crime scene, small make-up brush, ziplock bags, tweezers, tape, flour, marker, pen/paper, and black cardstock or heavy paper. Week 2: pen, paper, printer, and hand lens Week 3: baking soda, table salt, sugar, cornstarch, vinegar, black heavy paper, and iodine solution (iodine can be purchase from your local drug store or ordered online: Amazon brand is $5.20) Week 4: N/A Week 5: Printer, paper, and glue Week 6: Your Detective notebook
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Week 4 we will be discussing firearms and bullets. This will also include information on gun safety. I will NOT be requiring any student to shoot a gun or have a gun to show in class. If a student's family has ammunition to show that will be allowed for comparison.
