Description

Class Experience

The student may join or leave the class at any point. 
In this class, we will cover the content below:
Week 1:  Warm up exercises (vocal and physical), theater performance technique, a theater history topic.
Week 2: Warm up exercises (vocal and physical), scene study, monologues.
Week 3: Warm up exercises (vocal and physical), theater lingo, scene study.
Week 4: Warm up exercises (vocal and physical), performance technique, scene study, monologue.

Students will learn theater performance, from history to technique. History will be directly associated with an acting exercise presented in class. The class is interactive and students are highly encouraged to participate by asking questions, performing the scenes offered, and reading scripts or monologues.

Teacher assigns scenes and monologues prior to each class for the students to print out to use in class. After the class, it is recommended that the students review their scripts, perform them at home, write notes, etc.

Feedback is given in class. For individual feedback in writing, please request the teacher to do so via Outschool.

40 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
