Class Experience
Each session is full of projects based on Passion, Collaboration with Peers, and a Playful Spirit. It is full of hands-on Memorable, Meaningful, and Motivating activities, specially designed for girls and boys, 5 to 6 years old. This camp is a discovery enrichment program where the only academic requirement is a passion for learning and creating. In our Summer Camp, campers will learn the basics of coding and engineering, understanding their steps to create a successful design. Students will put on their coding and engineering caps in this camp and test their abilities by creating different projects related to the commands learned throughout the class. With the instructor's guide, students will learn that they, too, can be a part of the coding and engineering future.
Bright & Smart started in 2005. We have been teaching and developing our programs for the past 15 years. We create our programs with students' learning experience in mind; we want them to learn to love STEM. To develop their higher cognitive skills and natural abilities, we help them see themselves as technology creators.
Suggested materials to have available during the classes: Scissors Tape Glue Colored pencils/crayons Copy/construction paper Legos or construction blocks Empty Water Bottle Bottle caps Popsicle sticks Rubber bands
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
5 hours per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please be aware that we use household materials, and the use of some like scissors, rubber bands and glue/tape might need some adult supervision.
