Genealogy is about learning the stories of the past--the stories of the people who made us. To a genealogist, recording our stories is the way to pay it forward because it gives future generations a way to learn about our stories. Thanks to modern technology, there are many ways to record our stories. In this class, we will go over a few of them. I will present a short lecture on the importance of recording history, then we will do activities where the students will try out different ways of recording their life stories: -journal writing -drawing pictures -recording audio Students will be encouraged to choose a favorite and challenged to continue writing their story.
