Parental Guidance
Parental support may make this class more meaningful to learners. Many of the required homework assignments require asking a relative to share stories; it is recommended that the parent(s) help the learners identify a relative to contact.
The homework for the last lesson is to enjoy a meal with the family that either has been passed down through generations or represents the family's heritage. This can be done by preparing a meal or by eating out, whichever fits the family's lifestyle better.
Many of the optional homework assignments are activities to do together as a family.
Supply List
It is highly recommended that learners have a way to record stories; any medium will do. It is recommended but not required that learners have a FamilySearch account prior to taking this class.
