We will cover the following topics in the class:
Japan's forests and landscapes
Karate and Sumo
Japanese traditional music such as the Koto
Kabuki theater
Ghibli Animation Studios and its creator Hayao Miyazaki
Nintendo and Shigeru Miyamoto creator of Super Mario and Zelda
Last but not least popular foods and dishes in Japan

This lesson is aimed at providing young learners a chance to explore Japan and its colorful and fascinating culture. This is a slide based class, where we will do a bit of reading, watch a few short video clips and discuss our favorite aspects of Japan. Students will have plenty of opportunity to interact with the teacher and as well as each other. This class is a great way to learn new things about Japan in a fun and interactive way.

I lived and taught in Japan for two and a half years and during that time I had the opportunity to travel all around the country and take part in many activities, customs and celebrations. My aim is to get across my love for the culture and spark an interest in Japan. I welcome all youngsters to join this class with no prior experience or knowledge needed.

I look forward to seeing everyone in class and thank you for your consideration!

Yours Truly,
Rob Ellsworth
