Description

Class Experience

Students will learn the main characteristics of the rain forest habitat and be able to name many animals and plants that live and grow there. Students will be able to identify and compare different rain forest layers. Students will practice observing and recreating a rainforest animal of their choice.
I'm so excited to share my love of animals and their habitats with you! I've been teaching STEAM topics like animals to preschool through middle school for 6 years through an independent STEAM education company, and I'm really looking forward to connecting with new students here on Outschool. Not only will we be learning about rainforest animals and their ecosystem, but we'll sneak in some colors, numbers and math, comparing and contrasting, observation, movement and more--all things that preK, kindergartners and 1st graders love to learn and practice!
Paper and pencil, glue stick, scissors, blank paper, colored pencils/markers/crayons. Printables will be provided prior to class, so a printer is needed.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
