Description

Class Experience

Students will learn the main characteristics of the arctic habitat and be able to name many animals that live there.  Students will be able to identify and compare different characteristics of icebergs including color and shape.  Students will practice observing and recreating an arctic animal of their choice.  Students will be able to distinguish between the north and sole poles (arctic/antarctica).
Plain paper, pencil, colored pencils/markers/crayons, building materials such as LEGO or Duplo or similar bricks OR sculpting material such as clay or playdough
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
