In this one-time course, students will increase their self confidence and public speaking skills by debating! Students will be given a topic, background information on the topic and then given a stance. Each student will be given time to prepare their arguments and then asked to speak on the topic to the class. This class is informal and is meant to give students an introduction to debate and civil arguments. 

This course covers the basics of debate and is meant to create a fun environment for learners to build their confidence when speaking publicly and expressing themselves.
