Students will learn to work from a reference. We will practice noticing basic shapes and use those to build the foundation of our drawing. Learners will add important details that make each dinosaur unique. They will also be encouraged to use their own creativity to add their own details and storylines to their finished drawings. Learners will practice presenting their artwork via photos, comments, and videos shared in the classroom.
I'm so excited to share my love of science, dinosaurs, and ART with you! I've been teaching STEAM and art through fun, engaging topics like these to Preschool through Middle School students for 8 years through an independent art institute and STEAM education company, and I'm really looking forward to connecting with new students here on Outschool. Not only will we geek out over art and drawing famous prehistoric creatures--but we'll sneak in some STEM/STEAM education, comparing and contrasting, observation, creativity, communication, shapes recognition, following directions, social skills, and more!
