Students will be introduced to life Pow"Her" tools through 5 fun, interactive workbooks. The positive mindset tools we dive into include positive affirmations, choosing joy, handling social media traps, visualizing goals, practicing gratitude, providing service to others, journalling and meditation. Students will have a blast as we progress through discussion based worksheets. I will define and provide life examples as we review each life tool. Students will be given lots of opportunities to share their thoughts and answers to provided questions. It is important to keep our bodies moving to stay focused, so we will take time to actively "shout out" answers as well as provide a dance break! Jump Into Joy was created with active learning in mind, so although we are meeting online, we will incorporate physical movement, positivity games and mindful crafts. Positive Mindset Tools to be discussed each week are as follows: Week 1: What is a Positive Mindset?- I will introduce positive mindset tools and basic principles for building habits to choose joy each day of our life. Week 2: Self-Image/Affirmations-Learn to use self-esteem boosters such as affirmations and how to handle comparison traps. Week 3: Gratitude-Learn how expressing gratitude creates a flow of positivity in our lives. Week 4: Visualization/Reflection-Learn how creating vision boards & practicing meditation helps prepare the mind with goals & action steps. Week 5: Service to Others/Wrap-up-Learn how serving others gives us purpose and builds a foundation for inner joy and self-love. Each student will receive a new workbook to be printed out and utilized each week. This complete set of 5 workbooks will be an amazing source of reminders and inspiration for girls to refer back to as a foundation for inner joy and self-love. This workbook also provides additional resources so that students can continue to apply these amazing tools to their daily lives.
Learning Goals
Students will learn practical life strategies which I would categorize as positive mindset tools to navigate through daily life. Each week we will discuss specific topics as follows: Week 1-What is A Positive Mindset?, Week 2-Self-Image/Affirmations, Week 3-Gratitude, Week 4-Visualization/Reflection, Week 5-Service To Others/Pow"Her" Tool Review. Each week we will have fun as we explore these topics in depth so that students come to master these concepts in order stay true to themselves despite life's challenges.

Supply List
Please have a printed copy of the workbook on hand if possible (if not, we will be able to reference the workbook on a shared screen via zoom). Basic supplies like blank paper, markers, scissors, glue. If possible, a journal of any kind would be great; a basic spiral notebook or pad of paper is fine.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I have a BA in Psychology and have owned a children's gym for 15 years so I have many years of experience working with children. I have educated myself on these mindset tools through a variety of seminars, on-line tools and practicing these strategies personally. I feel strongly that it is highly effective to learn these life tools at a younger age so that girls can develop positive response habits to life's challenges to best create a life of joy and self-empowerment.
