Beginner - Advanced Level
Join this fun and educational Minecraft course celebrating July 4th with an exciting chemistry ballon project and much more for Minecraft Bedrock or Education Editions (not Java). Your child will learn to compound, craft, and create red, white, and blue helium balloons, access many colors of sparklers, craft red, white, and blue fireworks, create an American flag in Minecraft, and engineer a Redstone firework rocket launcher for a firework display. This course is also a wonderful sampling of my extensive, 22 lesson, Minecraft Chemistry self-paced course. A promo code coupon towards that course will be provided to all enrolled learners. My inclusive teaching style features step-by-step instructions with auditory narration and visual aids, aiding all learners as they follow along. This course is strength-based and interest-led, welcoming all learners to participate at their own comfort level. Interaction welcomed and optional. As a neurodivergent person myself, and an experienced, highly trained & certified educator, I create my classes to be neurodiverse & neurodivergent inclusive including dyslexia, autism ASD, 2e, gifted, ADHD, & PDA. Special Ed friendly.

*There are no live meetings in this asynchronous, self-paced course.
*We are not gaming together in a server/realm in this course. Learners are in their own Minecraft worlds. Gamer tags are not shared.
*Minecraft gaming app/software of Minecraft Bedrock or Education Editions (not Java) is needed (and not provided) for this class.
*Learners should be familiar with playing Minecraft on their own device. Learners may need assistance if they choose to use the optional commands.
*Completing the challenges and viewing/printing of any of my created content is completely optional.
*Minecraft contains cartoon type violence without blood or gore.

I am Minecraft Education Edition certified and a highly experienced and actively certified educator with a Master of Science: Curriculum and Instruction VI degree and multiple active teaching certifications including School Library Media Technology Specialist (PreK-12th grade), English Language Arts multiple certifications across multiple grade ranges, and more. I homeschool my own young Minecrafter and am an avid Minecrafter myself.
As a neurodivergent person myself, homeschooling my own neurodivergent young Minecraft learner, I design my courses to be inclusive and accessible. I continuously seek to be affirming and empowering towards every learner in every class.
