Description
Class Experience
This lesson is project based, but students will have the opportunity to work with several art principles. The best way to become an artist is to make art! Students will independently explore basic elements of art such as line, space, shape, form, texture, value, color, and balance. Students will independently explore the basic principles of art such as balance, emphasis, harmony, movement, pattern, proportion, repetition, rhythm, unity, and variety. Students will learn to use various art materials such as acrylic paint and the techniques associated with the mediums used.
Tara Lynn is a professional artist and art educator. She has worked in the public and private school system, and she currently works as an artist- teaching painting to all ages.
-any size canvas or paper (140lb) to paint on. 8x10 9x12 or 11x14 are great sizes to work with. -acrylic paint/craft paint in the following colors: white, black, teal blue, and aqua green suggested (having a rainbow variety of colors on hand is wonderful for this class) -paint brushes in the following sizes: small thin round, medium and large flat brush -water, paper towels, paper plate or palette to put paint on -scrap paper (1 page to cut out wings) and scissors -black Sharpie Acrylic paint is not washable once dry, please wear an apron or "paint clothes" just in case!
