The country of Canada awaits. We will start in the West and travel across to the East taking a look at the provinces and territories we pass by along the way. Students will be provided with a map to label as we go. As we stop by each province we will be learning some interesting facts. How many people live in each province? Why does Canada have provinces and territories? We will see great pictures of some key spots in each province and territory. Also, some unique features of this huge country with a small population.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the names of the provinces of Canada and the oceans that surround it. They will also appreciate the vastness and great variety of this land.

A printable map will be provided. Students should come to class with the map printed and with a pencil.
