Class Experience
We will spend time learning how to express ourselves, share our thoughts, and journal in this class. Students will not be asked to share their journal prompts, but are encouraged to talk about any and all things on their minds. They are encouraged to explore their thoughts and ideas. The goals of this class are to learn to express oneself, journal, and share their experience with their peers.
I am a writer, writing coach, and editor by trade. As a former elementary school teacher, I always found joy in allowing students to express themselves in class. I have facilitated many conversations with these prompts before in the classroom and with adult learners in my coaching.
No official homework, but students are encouraged to continue their journals.
Students will need a journal or paper to write on as well as materials with which to write. We will talk about bullet journaling which encourages the use of markers, colored pencils, and highlighting.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Students will be assessed by how they interact, share, and discuss the prompt.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
My journal prompts are meant to empower, encourage, and celebrate your child. If your student seems to be having a difficult time with any prompts I will email you to let you know.
