Description
Class Experience
Learners will do a fun, cardio warm-up to get their bodies moving, play freeze dance, and learn a simple follow-along style dance! Please Note: this is less of a dance class, more of a dance party. We will not cover dance terminology and learners will not receive corrections or criticism, just a whole lot of encouragement! Educational style dance classes will be available soon.
I received my bachelor's degree in Musical Theatre with a minor in dance in 2014. My degree program focused on acting, music, and dance performance while my minor allowed me to delve deeper into dance pedagogy, history, and choreography. After graduating, I moved to New York City and have lived and trained here ever since. I've performed professionally across the country at a variety of regional venues and touring houses. I've performed in 30+ states and love sharing the joy of theatre and dance with kids and teens! My focus is on making the arts fun and accessible no matter what your child's experience level might be.
Learners will need a safe space to dance and move in. I recommend sneakers, grip-sock, or bare feet if dancing on a slick surface. Have a water bottle nearby.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
40 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Please make sure your learner's dance space is clear of any obstacles. There should be room to move around safely. Non-slip shoes or grip socks are recommended on slippery surfaces. Safety is our first priority and supervision is recommended.
