Practice for perfection is always recommended!Class Experience
⭐New to Outschool? Message me before you enroll!!!⭐ Do you LOVE the song Jingle Bells? Can't get it out of your head? This is the class for you! Join us as we learn to play our favorite Christmas song! First, we will sing the song together, then we'll look at how rhythmic notation is written. Then I will teach everyone how to play Jingle Bells, step by step. If we have time afterwards, we'll play a related holiday-themed music game. All attendees will receive my sheet music arrangement of Jingle Bells upon enrollment. Students must be seated in front of a piano or keyboard in order to participate in this class.* * Please find the "original sound" sound setting in zoom before you log in! → https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/8230649-setting-up-music-lessons-for-zoom I suggest students 7 and younger attend at least four classes of my class Piano Primer: Songs on the Black Keys A, or be actively enrolled in piano lessons with another teacher.
Learning Goals
Students will learn to sightread finger number notation on the black keys and learn to play the chorus of Jingle Bells.

Parents must stay off camera as much as possible but will need to assist as necessary during class time to help their young learner find the correct keys, clap along to the rhythm, and control the mute button in Zoom. Parents will also be expected to assist with at home practice throughout the week.
Absolutely NO EATING during class. Learners will need the constant use of both of their hands as well as to engage with their full attention. Learners who are eating on camera may be asked to leave.
I will screenshare games I have made in Google Drive, Kahoot!, and Scratch to review music theory concepts if we have time in class.
Please make sure your learner has purchased-- and preferrably printed-- all sheet music linked under 'Supplies.'
