Jewelry Making and Patterns
In this course students will learn about two types of patterns through the use of different colored beads. Students will create either a necklace or a bracelet during this course.

In this class learners will learn how to create two basic patterns with the use of beads and string Patterns are all around us in nature and in life Class Structure Greeting, question - night or day? We will talk about what makes a pattern I will introduce the two patterns we will be using and go over examples Then we will create our own patterns using beads I will play music while we work At the end of the lesson I will call on a few students to share their patterns

Supply List
String, different colored beads (that fit on the string) and scissors (some students may need help cutting string to a length for bracelet or necklace)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello! My name is Miss Cali! My experience comes from many years of volunteering and working in various classrooms. I have worked in classrooms from the ages of 1-12 years old. I attended Greensboro College and obtained a Liberal Arts Degree with a Concentration in Education. My focus was Early Childhood Education. My teaching philosophy is a mix of Montessori and Reggio meaning I will follow the child and aim to fuel their passions for learning. Every child has the capacity to learn and imagination leads to knowledge. The classes I will teach will primarily be early childhood and may include anything from reading and writing to art classes with focus on the science of art. I will incorporate nature into my lessons through the use of experiments or videos I will provide. I look forward to working with your child and helping them grow in their love for learning.
