In this 1-time class, students will listen to the story "Jeremy Draws a Monster," and then they will draw their own monster and write about what their monster does.
Class experience
Students will begin class by sharing something special about themselves. We will then discuss what they think the book is going to be about. After the story, students will discuss the events of the story, including the list of demands made by the monster. Was the monster being a good friend? Next, students will draw their own monster. They will complete sentences to tell about their monster. At the end, students will share their sentences and drawing. The 1 page handout will be in classroom...
Students will practice creative writing and drawing.
I have taught for over 13 years. I love reading and sharing stories with young learners.
