I've found that Jeopardy is a great way to interact, practice speaking and social skills and gain confidence in a variety different subjects! We are going to play interactive Jeopardy. There will be multiple categories: Math, English, Science, Social Studies, and more! I will keep score and the winner will be announced at the end!

This class is great for after school or homeschoolers! My Jeopardy classes are a little different than what you might've seen on TV. I remember playing Jeopardy in school and feeling so anxious when it was my turn, because it took me a little longer to think of the answer. This is why in my classroom, we utilize the chat function on Zoom as much as possible, so that we are managing our time well to make sure we go through as many questions as we can!

PLEASE NOTE: In our Third Grade Jeopardy, students will send me a private chat with their answer, so that every learner has the chance to answer every question!
Please make sure your students know how to use the chat function before signing up for class! Here is an article that can help:
https://support.zoom.com/hc/en/article?id=zm_kb&sysparm_article=KB0064400

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the time limit of this class, not every question will be answered.

A few examples of questions that will be asked are:
A square has a perimeter of 20 units. What is the length of each side?
What is the purpose of a line plot?
In the sentence, "The students gathered around the intriguing exhibit," what does "intriguing" mean?
What does it mean to "break the news"?
How is the life cycle of a bird different from a butterfly?
What can fossilized footprints tell us about ancient organisms?
What are some major landmarks in our country?
What is the Constitution?
What are some ways to earn money?

Get ready to have fun and practice Third Grade knowledge!

All courses will begin on time as long as one learner is in the classroom. In the event that no students are in the classroom at the assigned class time, the teacher will leave a message on the discussion board and exit after 10 min. Class recordings are available upon request.

*MISSED ONGOING CLASSES*
Per Outschool policy, there are no refunds or credits for missed classes. As an ongoing class, the subscription holds your spot and prevents another learner from taking it. If you need to miss a class, please withdraw so that another learner can fill the slot if they wish. Recordings are posted as soon as they are available for absent students.

*REFUND/TRANSFER POLICY*
Per Outschool policy, there are no refunds or credits for missed classes. I will be glad to transfer your learner to another section but require 24 hours' notice. This timing is necessary in order to fill the spot you are vacating. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hello everyone! My name is Delicia Guild! I'm originally from New Mexico but relocated to Colorado Springs in 2021.

I graduated with a psychology degree in 2015 from Eastern New Mexico University. I started my career in banking, and I quickly realized that I wanted to make an impact on more people. I began teaching online in 2018, teaching English to kids in China. I really enjoyed myself so much that I started teaching online full-time in 2019.

Throughout the years, I've come to realize how important personal development is. I started reading all kinds of books about marriage, time management, people skills, and finances so I could better myself and my family. I really fell in love with learning these skills, so I started teaching classes that build upon them.

My goal now is to impact kids (they're our future after all). Academics are absolutely important, and skills like communication, handling conflict, and building confidence are just as (if not more) important.

A few facts about me:
-I live with my awesome husband and two cats (Heisenberg and Honey) πŸ‘«πŸˆβ€β¬›πŸˆ
-My favorite TV series is The Chosen πŸ₯–πŸŸβœ¨
-My favorite color is yellow because it reminds me of sunshine β˜€οΈ
-I'm a huge bookworm! πŸ€“ I love reading authors like John C. Maxwell, Joyce Meyer, and Simon Sinek.
-My absolute favorite classes to teach are my Leadership & Character Academy Classes!
