Description
Class Experience
Students will create 3 art projects that include painting, drawing and paper crafting. In addition to the art projects they will have the opportunity to socialize and share their artwork in a fun and upbeat environment.
I am an experienced art teacher on Outschool and offer a series of Star Wars crafting classes (Jedi Arts and Crafts). These are some of my very favorite classes to teach! As a self-proclaimed Star Wars nerd, I am happy to help students find and practice their natural art skills while enjoying a lively discussion around my favorite movies.
2 files available upon enrollmentDay 1: Watercolor paper or canvas, watercolor paints and paintbrushes. Students will also need the printable template provided, and a pencil. Day 2: Several sheets of origami paper. If preferred, you can also prepare some regular sheets of paper by cutting them into 3" or 5" squares. They can be any color, though you may want some of the character colors: green (Yoda), brown/tan, grey, black, red, etc. Day 3: Acrylic paints, paintbrushes and rocks! Smooth, flat rocks will work best. If you can find a rock, I'll also be sharing a painted flower pot that I painted as Boba Fett, so get creative and see what you can find!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Spoiler alert! Some of your learner's classmates may have seen all Star Wars movies and shows. If you have not please let me know at the beginning of class and we'll try not to let anything slip! Of course, that is always a possibility in a classroom of mixed students.
