Jazz Dance Technique and Choreography Class (Ages 8-12)
In this jazz dance class, students of all levels will learn the basics of jazz dance technique. The class will be led through a full body warm up, stretch, technique exercises, and choreography.

Jazz dance is an upbeat style of dance that focuses on technique, energy, and having fun! During this class, students of all levels will be taught the basics of jazz technique. We will be working on building strength and flexibility. Correct body placement will be emphasized and students will be given individualized corrections. At the end of class, students will be given the opportunity to learn from their peers and watch one another perform the choreography. This not only promotes a good...
Students should have a clear space to dance, free from any hazards. Students may wear jazz dance shoes of their preference, (they may choose to go barefoot for the warm up and stretching portion of class). Have a full bottle of water handy!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
This class involves physical activities that require adequate space to move around freely, proper footwear, and plenty of water to stay hydrated. Parental or Guardian supervision is recommended.
