Allons-y! Come to the farm with me to learn the names of the animals in French! Students will take turns seeking out animals playing Hide-and-Seek on the farm on interactive slides. As animals are discovered, we will name them in English and then learn the French word and pronunciation. Once all of the animals have been revealed, students will practice naming them in French again by listening for and matching the sound that each animal makes. Finally, we will play a game where I say the name...

I studied French for my high school language requirement and was in the French National Honor Society for three years. Then, our family lived in France from 2011 to 2014, while my child was 3 - 6 years old. We taught her all her preschool skills in both English and French during those years. Since then, I have had the opportunity to teach these skills to other children in homeschool co-op classes.
A one-page handout will be available for download before class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
