Characterized by intensity, precision, and a sense of celebration, Taiko Drumming emphasizes and enhances physical agility, confidence and musicality. Come join us as we learn about elements of history and culture, rhythm concepts, and etiquette within a traditional Japanese setting. The majority of our time together will be hands on as we stay active and engaged learning basic rhythms through games and fun exercises. Having a drum is not required. Upon enrollment, a handout of suggestions for a variety of household options to use for class will be provided. This is an introductory workshop designed so interested learners can get a sense for Taiko on a virtual platform. A follow up 6 class series will a be offered for those who wish to continue. I hope to drum with some of you soon! Sibling discounts are available.
