Have you ever wondered what classes are out there to help you become fluent in Japanese? I know I have. Well, I have designed this five-part beginner class (and more classes to come) to help you on your journey to become fluent. This class will not only help you learn grammar and vocabulary efficiently and effectively, but will also help you learn about the culture and the people as well. I will put you in real-life situations where you will be encouraged to use Japanese to successfully communicate with others. After this class, students will be able to Lesson 1: 1. Learn to seek confirmation (ne) 2. Learn to make an exclamation (yo) 3. Learn the difference between the three pleases 4. Learn the negative form of basic sentences Lesson 2: 1. Learn how to count from 100 to 99,999 2. Learn School vocabulary (pencil, pen, whiteboard, Tv) 3. Learn verb vocabulary related to school (I understand, please slow down) Lesson 3: 1. Learn about the Polite Verb Conjugation 2. Learn about the Present Tense 3. Learn particles in Japanese -Marking a direct object, -marks where an activity takes place, -marks time or movement towards a goal Lesson 4: 1. Learn the Particle referencing to time 2. Learn about Polite Invitations 3. Learn about Frequency Adverbs -Everyday, often, Sometimes, Never, Not often Lesson 5: 1. Learn about word order 2. Learn the Kanji for 1-1,000 You will definitely enjoy this class. We will play games, have PowerPoint slides, group discussion and real life situations to solidify what to say in certain situations. I want you to feel comfortable and engaged while learning. There is a co-requisite. You will either need to know how to read, write and speak Hiragana and Katakana before this class or take Hiragana and Katakana classes simultaneously. You will also need to have taken Road to Fluency Beginner Class 1 or know all the material in this class. Please bring an open mind and be ready to learn.
