Class Experience

Wow, you have progressed a long way. If you have signed up for part 3, it shows you have a lot of perseverance. As with all my Japanese classes, I teach in a way that you learn Japanese naturally and effectively, I not only teach you the language, but I teach you a little about the culture as well.

In this class, you are faced with real-life situations in which you will have to use Japanese to effectively communicate with others.

I want the students to feel comfortable as they speak the language.

After this lesson students will be able to

1. Showing possession
2. Learn expressions for when and what "ummm..." means
3. Be able to use the formal and informal yes (there are different words for different age groups)
4. Be able to say this (near me), that (near you), that (over there), or ask which one
5. Be more specific when describing things (this clock (near me), that phone (near you), that computer (over there), and ask which one)
6. Be able to ask how much something costs

You will definitely enjoy this class. We will play games, have PowerPoint slides, group discussions, and real-life situations to solidify what to say in certain situations. I want you to feel comfortable and engaged while learning.

There is a pre-requisite for this class. You will need to have taken part 1 and 2 before you take part 3, or know the material in parts 1 and 2.

There is a co-requisite. You will also need to take a Katakana and Hiragana class, which can be taken simultaneously with this class or before this class.

Please bring an open mind and be ready to learn.
