Have you ever wondered what classes are out there to help you become fluent in Japanese? I know I have. Well, I have designed this five-part beginner class (and more classes to come) to help you on your journey to become fluent. This class will not only help you learn grammar and vocabulary efficiently and effectively, but will also help you learn about the culture and the people as well. - After this lesson, students will be able to 1. Say greetings (morning, afternoon and night) 2. Say goodbye (Did you know there are different goodbyes for different age groups?) 3. Say goodnight (There are different goodnights for different age groups.) 4. Say thank you and you are welcome (There is a different thank you for different age groups.) 5. Say I'm sorry or get someone's attention (The same word has two meanings.) 6. Know what to do and say when they leave their house and when they return 7. Know what to say before they eat and after they eat 8. Address someone when they are older, younger or a teacher 9. Introduce themselves to people they meet for the first time
I received my undergraduate degree in the Japanese language, culture, and history. I also earned my Master's degree in K-12 education. I studied abroad at Nihon University in Tokyo as well as worked as an English teacher in Niigata, Japan. I was able to see what I learned firsthand

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Students will be given worksheets to print out after the class to reinforce their learning. Because this class meets once, this is optional and they have the choice to send their homework to me to look over.Assessment
Frequency: includedDetails: I do not routinely give an assessment at the end of the class. However, if a student or parent would like an assessment, they may request one by emailing me.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
