**Part 1 of Japanese History will cover the Edo Period (1603-1868) and the Meiji Period (1868-1912), part 2 will cover the Early Showa Period (1912-1945) and Postwar Japan (Since 1945)** **Students will not have to have any prior knowledge of Japanese History, but it always helpful and welcomed** Over the course of four days, we will spend two days learning about each period in depth, via discussion, video clips, and Canva slides. Each day will include a review or exit ticket at the end of the class period. We will learn about various aspects such as goverment, society and every day life. Day 1: Edo Period: 1603-1768) Day 2: Edo Period 1768-1868 Day 3: Meiji Period 1868-1890 Day 4: Meji Period 1890-1912

History as it is, can be violent at times. This class will discuss warfare and death in a age appropiate manner. please ensure this class is apprioate for your student upon enrollment.
