Hello and こんにちは (Konnichiwa)! Welcome to our Japanese Flex class 2! This course is for 6 weeks and will be taught in English and Japanese so learners feel comfortable and excited about learning a foreign language. From paper puppets, interactive flashcards, felt stories, book theater, worksheets and coloring sheets, we will enjoy hands-on learning with my handmade materials. Week 1Lesson 1Parts of our Face and CountingWe will learn how to say the parts of our face with a felt board activity, review counting 1-10 with a game and a fun worksheet!Week 2Lesson 2All about ShapesLet's learn how to say some of our favorite shapes using a flip book, have a show-n-tell and review with our worksheet!Week 3Lesson 3More about Shapes!We'll review shapes and add a fourth one using paper puppets, counting with cookies felt board activity, animal game review and make paper puppets with our worksheet!Week 4Lesson 4What's your name?Let's review the weather with paper puppets, colors with flashcards and learn how to say our name in Japanese with a flip book!Week 5Lesson 5Our kawaii PetsAfter reviewing how to say our name with a white board, we'll review with flashcards. Our main lesson is Pets with our felt board pet shop followed by our worksheet!Week 6Lesson 6How old are you?It's our last lesson in this course so we will review and learn how to say "How old are you?" with a felt board birthday theme!
Homework Offered
I like to provide a printable coloring sheet or fun worksheet. It's not required but a way for students to review the lesson and share their work with the class and me! :)0 - 1 hours per week outside of class

It is advised that learners take Japanese 1 before moving onto to this course ( Japanese 2).
6 files available upon enrollmentYou will need a printer to print out the worksheet or sometimes parents will draw their own version of the worksheet for their learner...either works! :). Also, markers, crayons or coloring pencils and sometimes we will use glue, scissors and/or tape.
