Class Experience
In this 12-week online course, students will progress to the level of Early Intermediate in the Japanese language. This class focuses on speaking, listening, and basic reading/writing skills. Class members will meet 2 times per week. The first meeting of each week will be lecture-style (with plentiful interaction) and focus on introducing the Japanese phrases for the week and discussing study strategies. - Students will learn to build sentences in Japanese, speak and understand essential everyday phrases, and read Hiragana and Katakana.
I lived in Japan for 2 years. I have studied the language extensively and speak Japanese at an intermediate level. I also have experience teaching languages.

Frequency: includedFeedback: includedDetails: Students will be expected to practice their assigned Japanese phrases between class meetings. Each week we will learn 10 characters and 10-20 words or short phrases (the longer the phrases, the less will be assigned).
