Description
Class Experience
This 4-week course will cover the basics of speaking Japanese, including basic sentence structure, the difference between the 3 alphabets, and core vocabulary/phrases for basic conversation. No previous knowledge required! We will also incorporate fun facts about Japanese culture in between rounds of language study. Here are the topics to be covered each week: Week 1: The Basics & Introductions Week 2: Common Phrases Week 3: "I like..." Seasons, Colors, etc. Week 4: Travel Phrases When...
By the end of this course, students will be comfortable with introducing themselves and using basic phrases in Japanese. This course is meant to be followed by "Japanese for Beginners: Part II".
I lived in Japan for 2 years. I have studied the language extensively and speak Japanese at an intermediate level. I also have experience teaching languages.
Students will be asked to practice the Japanese learned each week between classes.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
